InSite is an integrated seismic data acquisition, processing, management and visualisation software developed as a complete software solution for seismological studies, ranging in scale from acoustic emissions in the laboratory, through microseismics around underground excavations and petroleum fields up to regional-scale earthquakes.
The InSite software is used extensively in ASC’s consulting operations, and is now used by many international organisations for in-house processing and management of seismic data.
InSite runs on a Windows platform on a PC with a single user-interface to the data and all the functionality.
The data management system allows complex seismic data sets (numbering thousands of events) to be managed and visualised.
Processed data, waveforms and frequency spectra can be easily output through a selection of text file formats.
The software is independent of acquisition hardware as raw waveform data is imported into its specially designed data base system. It can be integrated with hardware packages to perform real-time data capture and processing.
There is a wide range of standard and advanced processing options with high levels of automation making processing and re-processing a simple task.
There is a suite of visualisers for examining the data including waveforms from multi-axis instruments, a 3D location visualiser and source mechanisms.
The software can be interfaced to the client’s own software codes through an intelligent message interface that passes data to and from the data base.
InSite can be set up in a server-client system allowing a team of users to access a single centralised data base across a network.
You can download a setup program that will install InSite Demo on your PC. This program contains example data sets showing some applications of InSite accompanied with presentations introducing its main features.
