OMNIBUS Sensor Package Systems

Tailored sensor package systems to meet project criteria with customised interface hardware for data acquisition units.

Sensor Package Systems
  • The number, type and specification of monitoring sensors on a project depends on the application and environment.
  • We design and supply sensor package systems tailored to the project including transducers, cabling and on-board signal conditioning electronics.
  • Customised interface hardware for supplying signal connections and power requirements to sensors and on-board electronics.
  • Design, sourcing and manufacture of sensor deployment and installation systems.
  • Full integration of existing sensor packages, or third-party hardware, with our state-of-the-art acquisition systems and software.

OMNIBUS Trigger and Hit Count Unit

The THC provides multi-channel trigger and hit-count logic contained in a stand-alone unit suitable for a range of applications.

Trigger and Hit Count Unit
  • Multi-channel trigger logic, contained in a desktop unit, for triggering data acquisition of discrete events.
  • Tailored interface to sensor and amplifier types used in a project. Options for providing signal conditioning and amplifier power on all channels.
  • Hit-count analysis provides the number of threshold crossings counted per channel over a user-specified period.
  • Software controlled through a USB interface on a PC.
  • Software-selectable channel selection, number of channels, time window length and amplitude trigger thresholds.

OMNIBUS Pulser-amplifier System

An innovative system of switching between pulsing and receiving mode for all transducers in a multi-sensor ultrasonic survey.

Pulser-amplifier System
  • Switches around all transducers in an ultrasonic array, allowing each to act as both a transmitter and a receiver, thus optimising ray path coverage and eliminating the need for dedicated transmitters.
  • Consists of a desktop Pulser-amplifier Interface Unit (PIU) providing power and control to a set of Pulser-amplifier Units (one per receiver).
  • The Pulser-amplifier Units are available in ‘Desktop’ and ‘Borehole’ versions. Each unit contains electronics for both pulsing and amplification, and for switching between the two.
  • Amplifier circuitry has selectable gains between 45 and 70 dB, and a broad frequency response with a plug-in filter circuit to tailor the unit to the desired frequency range.
  • The PIU is software controlled through a USB interface connected to a PC, thus providing fully automated surveying.
